The College of Midwives of British Columbia (CMBC) is the regulatory body for the profession of midwifery in the province of British Columbia (BC), Canada. It was established in March 1995 when the provincial legislature proclaimed the Midwives Regulation under the Health Professions Act 1. The first midwives were registered to practice in BC on January 1, 1998. The Midwives Association of British Columbia is the professional body representing midwives and the practice of midwifery in the province of British Columbia.
